Ghosts in the Gardens (2023)

Ghost in the Garden is an installation of now 39 lost souls wandering various public gardens in York. They reflect on York's long and fascinating history. The translucent aluminium mesh from which they are made gives them an eerie and otherworldly character. The project was the initiative of The York Bid, taken on by Unconventional Design and executed by various sculptors. The ghosts were on display from the 23rd of September until the 12th of November 2023. They proved popular and in 2022 the show won a national award for Place Marketing. For 2023 I made a goose and a heron. The photos are taken in my own garden.
